Energy cooperation, Pakistan and Russia FMs hold talks on economic:
(International News) On Monday, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the delegation level. The talks covered the entirety of the bilateral relationship, with a focus on trade and economic relations, energy cooperation, and issues of mutual interest in the region and the world.

The Russian counterpart has invited the foreign minister to make his first trip to Moscow.

The Pakistani and Russian foreign ministers agreed to intensify their mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of trade, energy, education, culture, security, and counterterrorism, as noted by the Foreign Office. They also agreed that regular high-level exchanges between the two countries and their people would be beneficial to both.

Additionally, the two foreign ministers discussed the situation in the region, particularly Afghanistan. Pakistan's efforts to ensure a peaceful and stable Afghanistan were shared with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He briefed the Russian delegation on Pakistan's perspective on South Asia's stability and security as well as the grave violations of human rights in India's illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The two sides also discussed ways to work together in the UN and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
